1. Download the Game
Download the game and save the ZIP file to your preferred location.
2. Extract the ZIP File
Locate the downloaded ZIP file and double-click on it to extract its contents.
3. Navigate to the App
Once extracted, you should see the game application file (ends with ".app"). Navigate to the location where the application is stored.
4. Right-Click on the App
Hold down the Control key on your keyboard and simultaneously click (or right-click) on the game application file.
5. Choose "Open" from the Context Menu
In the context menu that appears, choose "Open." This will override the security check and prompt a confirmation dialog.
6. Override Security Warning
A warning dialog will appear, informing you that the app is from an unidentified developer. Click "Open" to confirm and launch the game.
7. Enjoy the Game
The game should now launch without any issues. You might need to perform these steps only the first time you open the application.
Windows
1. Download the Game
Download the game from itch.io and save the ZIP file to your preferred location.
2. Extract the ZIP File
Locate the downloaded ZIP file. Right-click on the file and select "Extract All..." from the context menu. Choose a destination for the extracted files and click "Extract."
3. Navigate to the Game Folder
After extraction, open the folder where the game files are located. Look for the main executable file, often ending with ".exe."
4. Run the Game
Double-click on the executable file to run the game. If prompted by Windows Defender SmartScreen, click "More info" and then "Run anyway" to proceed with the execution.
5. Enjoy the Game
The game should now launch without any issues. You might need to perform these steps only the first time you open the application.
The Door
The door will only let you pass when you have:
- Destroyed all enemies in the level
- Used every item in your inventory
Destroy the last enemy with your last item
When you beat the level,
the Nothing Door allows you to enter
If you fail the level you can use the return door at the bottom of the screen to try again.
Some levels might take you back MORE than one level if you fail them...
Using Items
To use an item, walk into an enemy while holding it.
Items are used in order in your inventory from left to right
Here, the next item to be used is a Magic Potion. Then next in the order is a Big Sword, then a Big Sword, and finally a sword
Some Items Harm
Sword: -1 HP
BIG Sword: -2 HP
Some Items Heal
Potion: +1 HP
BIG Potion: +2 HP
Some Items Have a strange twist...
Enemies
An enemy's HP is shown by icons above them
Enemies are destroyed when they have EXACTLY 0 HP
Player's next item is a sword
Player hits Skullfreak with sword for -1HP
Skullfreak goes from from -1HP to -2HP
Skullfreak does not die
Player's next item is a potion
Player hits Skullfreak with potion for +1HP
Skullfreak goes from from -1HP to 0HP
Skullfreak dies
Some enemies will change appearance when they are living or undead
